The community shows its support for the new rugby union club
ZEPHYR, ON – March, 26 2019
The Toronto Arrows Supporters Club officially launched today as part of the preparations for the club’s first home game of the season on 7th April. The Toronto Arrows are an expansion club as part of the Major League Rugby organization in their first season and are Toronto’s first professional rugby union club.
The supporters club is a fan-driven initiative to bring the game to the community and the community to the game. Run by enthusiasts of the sport and Toronto residents, the supporters club is inclusive and welcoming and open to all. The club will meet at Shopsy’s Sports Grill York U (4700 Keele St, Toronto, Ontario, M3J 1P3) from 11am before the first game on April 7th against NOLA.
“We love the sport and are proud of this city, so the club is a great way to bring all of that together”, said Stuart Aldridge, co-founder of TASC. “Rugby union is such a dynamic game, and really compelling to watch. Our club is a great way for friends, family and fellow sports fans to watch the game together and lend vocal support to our team”.
The club will be active at every home game this season, as well as running events and community outreach during the entire year.
